I had been asked to do a local (Ottawa) commercial by Reel Impact Communications and shot it today. It was for an auto credit TV ad.

This was surprisingly fun to do! Also, there’s an interesting story involved with this one. First of all, this was shot on location at the car dealership. When I got in, I had talked to a few people as I was attempting to find out where I had to go. Eventually I found the room and changed into my suit, while they were shooting the female version of the commercial. I discovered that my suit’s pants were missing (this has never happened to me before.. and hopefully won’t in the future). So, instead of panicking, and informing Lois from Reel Impact (who was running the show), I decided to try and remedy the situation myself. Why give her unneeded stress?

Remember the people I talked to before going to set? Well one of him was close to my size…his name was Steve. So after running into to the owner of the car dealerships and sharing my current situation with him, we decided that Steve’s pants were the closest match to my suit color and pant size. The man had no choice but to switch with me (since the big boss told him to). I assured Steve that my jeans were comfortable and off we went into a room to change. I then returned to the set, with the production crew clueless about what just happened.

We shot in an actual office with people doing their work while Lois from Reel Impact kept everyone smiling and laughing with her unique sense of humor. I performed the commercial in both English and French. As we progressed with the different shots, I eventually asked if my pants were in the frame. Lois confirmed that they were. I then stated how I was glad I didn’t go through all the trouble of finding pants for nothing. Confused, she asked for clarifications. I told her, and whoever who was listening the story. It proved to be quite a hit with the people working there. We kept going and finished in under two hours of shooting. Overall, it went great. I made sure to thank Steve before I left, and traded back our pants. He agreed that my jeans were comfortable.

I booked and shot a TV commercial and print for Sara Lee! Shoot went great. The first day I was in swimming shorts, flippers and goggles. I had to do a goofy walk then again with a burger! It was actually all photographed. The TV commercial will have a sort of animation style feel to it.

It will be tested in a few areas in the United States and possibly made into a National US commercial. As for the print, one was with a girl as a couple’s shoot. We both had mouthfuls of cake! Then I switched shirts and did it all over again but by myself.

I’ve been working a lot on films in the past few months.. lots of busy and sleep deprived weekends! We shot and finished “Nothing Left To Say”. It was great working with Paul, his wife Shalan, friend Dre and my cast mate Nancy. I’ve already seen rough edits of the film and it’s going to look great. Paul’s not only a pleasure to work with but a really talented guy!

Another film that we completed is Pascal’s “Jamie and Eddie: Souls of Strife”. The premiere is on May 27th! Check out the website for details. Pascal’s another hard working man who’s artistically gifted.

We also finally shot the last scene for “Drinks”.

Finally, I continued extensive work for the feature length film “6 for 7”. At this point I only have a few scenes left to shoot, and eventually some voiceovers!

Additionally, I was offered the lead in a short thriller called “Goodbye”. I accepted and we’ve already shot a good chunk of the film.

As for commercial work, I booked another Much Music TV ad for their “Much Mobile Missions” contest. Then I did a video for the new “LG Fusic” phone which is featured on their French webpage for it. I was also featured in an internal Transport Canada video.

Moving on to print, I landed a job for Shopper’s Drug Mart. The pictures should be appearing in stores soon enough. I also did a photoshoot for the “Centropolis” in Laval. Pictures should be up at the center as well as on their website. Lastly, I got a new headshot that was shot by Robert Du Broy; a great guy. Check out the resume and pictures section for updates with all the aforementioned.

Summer’s here already and things have been going well. Breathe was shot and is in the editing process.

I also got an editorial in an upcoming magazine called Bobbi by the same people who own UMM. You should be able to find me in their first issue that should be out in August.

I did a photoshoot with Mark Cooper for my new cards. Some of those pictures have been added in the images section.

I auditioned for a local film called “Agent Double Double vs. Le Séparateur”. They offered me the role of the head arms dealer.

Paulo (friend within the agency) and I landed roles in a Lavalife TV commercial and I believe it’ll be aired in the UK and North America.

Our agency had its yearly showcase which went very well. I had a great time.

We started shooting Bollywood North and things are going very well. Still rehearsing for the fights and remaining scenes.

Other than that, I’ve been traveling to Toronto a lot… mostly for Auditions. I went to Montreal for a few as well.

Finally the production of mon6ths has been canceled (at least for now).  Resume and pictures section have been updated.
