On December 2nd, this season’s holiday Tim Hortons “Gift of Coffee” / “Hi” commercial (featuring the Limited Edition Coffee Mug) came on the air here in Canada to such a positive response! In it, I play the leading man, running into the leading girl at various times throughout the 30 seconds.

How to gauge how people feel about a TV commercial, especially when it’s not online (on YouTube for example), other than hearing from your friends and family (who’s opinion are just as important of course)? Well I turned to a Twitter search* and here’s a sample of what I found:

This is just after less than two days of being on the air! You can see for yourself and try this search, it may still be relevant for the next couple of weeks: https://twitter.com/search?q=timhortons%20commercial&f=realtime*
Needless to say I’m glad to hear such positive responses for it, “melting my heart”, “pulls at my heart strings”, “warms my heart” and how it’s “so cute” makes me even happier to have been part of it! Not to mention the amazing time I had in Montreal shooting this. The cast and crew were a pleasure to work with and I really got to speak a lot French. I don’t think I’ll be saying no to future opportunities to in Montreal; I hadn’t been there in a long while and hope that not as much time go by before I visit again.
Feel free to check out my Facebook page for more stills of the commercial that I recently uploaded. You can also check them out on my Trovebox photo gallery.
*NOTE: Updated search on Dec 15th, 2013 to include different ways of referring to Tim Hortons.
